November 23, 2018: Nice Crescent Venus this morning

Clear skies this morning, much to my surprise. I spotted Venus through the trees, so went up to the first floor, where I could have a better look with the big Helios LightQuest 16x80 binoculars, through the open window of our computer room. I was really pleased at how neatly these binoculars showed the crescent phase of the planet. Glare is really well controlled. I had another look later, when the skies were brighter. The reduced contrast actually makes the crescent stand out a bit better.
