Variety of lunar shots from 18-Nov-2018

Had some fun doing some lunar imaging the other night while clear, but with a birght Gibbous moon in play. These shots taken using an ASI120MM, 742nm near IR filter through a Meade Series 4000 2x barlow and my 350mm Newt.

I've done some measurements using craters of known size, and it appears that I'm working at about 2250mm FL here (comes out at 400m on the surface per pixel or 0.34"/px) - a bit shorter than I kinda want (or is recommended) really but I suspect this is possibly due to the spacing of the camera, but even then seems very low?? However, the moon wasn't particularly high in declination, and I don't have the greatest location seeingwise usually - not sure how much difference it might make!

Thanks for looking.

The lunar north pole - Philolaus in deep shadow on left, Anaxagoras at centre, with the chain Scoresby, Challis, Main, Gioja, Byrd and Peary going up on the right hand side. The lunar north pole sits very close to the bright, rear rim of crater Peary.
