M31 First Attempt

I finally managed to actually get my setup out. This is my first time properly imaging with the scope and first go at M31. After spending most of the night trying to set everything up, I still got some subs!

Canon EOS 77D, Skywatcher 80ed, EQ6-mount.

27 x 2min subs unguided

11 Dark frames

20 Flat frames

20 Bias frames.

Stacked in DSS, processed in Photoshop. Still learning so feel free to give any advice.

Clear skies,

J

Thanks for the comments, it's very inspiring to get any results. I did a quick reprocess following a different tutorial. I did got some more detail, though it may be a bit noisy for my taste.

The post-processing really is a challange.

That does look better. What tutorial did you use?
