Nice quick lunar observing session

I just managed to grab half an hour of moon observing before the clouds rolled in. It was also a chance to see how good Antonin Rukis reverse moon map is.

This is an excellent moon map and really well detailed. Although it’s hand drawn I could easily identify every crater I chose to and also Serpentine ridge on Mare Serenitatis. I’ve wanted to know what that was called for a while now.

Its great how the Q can still perform really well even without cool down.

loving the Questar and studying the moon with it.

Great!  Luna tempted me, but after a glass or two of red I decided to resist.  But there's always tomorrow!

Doug.

Doug you need to take a leaf out of my book and combine that glass of red or in my case Captain Morgan's and combine it with a lunar session. You will feel almost Armstrong, like you are actually there, especially if you have a Questar. Mmmmm

I was tempted too, trying to look at the moon in the last hour of my working day, but the Moon is well below my tree line when I got home.
Funny too about the drinks, I was ordering my Rum earlier today online? CM is my favourite but have since discovered their Private Stock Premium Barrel?

I’ll give that a try then.

Nothing too bad or for too long I hope Alan?

Sorry for the thread diversion pragmatist.

Stu, I fractured my right thumb digging out roots to plant hedge to block out light pollution from next door, it's astro related.
I also tore the ulnar collateral ligament, its the central bit in your thumb.
Injury common to skiers getting pole stuck while moving.

Not long term, but for 6 weeks or so and then strengthening up after.
Sadly the specialist only said no tools or gripping until after xmas, he forgot to cut housework from the list!
