It is noiser but to my mind more detail is visible.

That's very nice, maybe try ACDNR just on chrominance to take some of the colour noise out.

Thanks for the kind words. I tried ACDNR with just chrominance but it didn't make much difference. I added a touch more general ACDNR with a mask applied and that helped a little. It also allowed me to bring in the black point a little more so its more contrasty. I think the only way to reduce the noise is more data, as the dust surrounding the nebula is very faint.
