Hi, I have a Skywatcher GPS mouse dongle but don't have the software for connecting the mouse directly to my PC?

Does anyone out there have the software (or know where I can get a copy)?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think it works with a PC, as far as I can makeout.

Hi, mine came with a pc USB cable, you disconnect the connection that connects to the Synscan handset and plugs in the USB cable adapter thing?

found this on the net:

The GPS mouse fits all Sky-Watcher SynScan hand boxes from version 3.0. Installation is very straightforward: the cable is connected to the hand box and the box is ready for use.

You can use the module with these telescopes:

  • telescopes with NEQ-3 Pro, NEQ-5 Pro, HEQ-5 Pro or Pro EQ-6 mounts
  • telescopes with Sky-Watcher AZ GoTo mounts
  • FlexTube GoTo Dobsonians

  1.
  2. The advantages in a nutshell:

  • GPS module for Sky-Watcher GoTo telescopes
  • no need to input location and time
  • increase in positioning accuracy
  • cable kit available for connecting to PC

I think Louis is correct, all the docs just show a connection between the device & the handset (2 part cable - GPS device to connector, then Connector to RJ11, which plugs into the handset).

If there is a USB\PC connector available, I suspect it would be for updating the Synscan to ensure its at the latest version.
