An old saturn shot

Hi Guys,

Another old shot from me(taken 7th December), but I thought I'd post it - some of you may have seen this already but some wont have.

This was taken with the 8" F/5 with a 10mm eyepeice in a projection tube witht he Toucan Pro.

533 frames hand picked from a huge AVI - maybe 1200 frames in total, just the selecting of frames too hours if I remember rightly.

I've started transering all my half decent images over to the http://iseestars.net picture hosting service.

Very good value to ensure that I don;t go through and lose all my images again!

While I was browsing through them I thought I show some of the better one's.

Awesome. Saturn has to be my fav because it was the first thing I looked for when I got my first scope.

I could just make out the disc and shape of the rings, but even that got me really excited!!!

Cheers for that darren, I agree Saturn was the first thing that I saw so holds a special placem in my heart as well....

Incidentally, to sit and hand-pick 500+ images must have taken some dedication..

Did you start to get the point where the images all looked the same???

Found one of my own old saturn pics look's a little overprocessed now lol..

720 images stacked from 2000 i used the same scope as Ant for his image..

I love both those pictures of Saturn, for some reason Saturn is my favourite planet to look at, I think it's the rings

Thanks Grant, many people love saturn because of it's ring system just wait till you see it through a telescope it's one of astronomy's best Gem's and you will never forget it.
