Hello from Oregon

I just joined and I am looking forward to seeing what others have done in astrophotography and learning from them at this site.  I had a real interest in astronomy when I was in grade school (a long time ago), but meteorology was the career I chose to follow.  Now, with full retirement just 7 weeks away, I'm starting to get back to astronomy.  I've invested in a few telescopes (CPC 800, SkyWatcher ProED 120, Orion ED 80) and cameras (Canon 60da, ASI224MC) over the past 7 years, but between a broken leg, a broken wrist, a cancer scare, and many nights with clouds or smoke from forest fires, I haven't progressed too far yet.  I've been learning through books, the web, and the old-fashioned trial-and-(many)-error method.  I have posted some Moon, planet, and DSO images that I've managed to take, but I know I have an enormous amount of room for improvement in my astrophotography skills.  I'll look for the answers to my many questions at this site, and post some if I don't find the answers I'm looking for.  Hopefully, I'll be able to post much better pictures in the future.
