Wessex Astro - Public Observing Session at Durlston Tonight (26/10)

Recommended Posts

Just picked up an email saying that due to the clear night that is forecast over Swanage tonight that the Wessex Astronomical Society public observing event is going ahead.

They will welcome any volunteers with telescopes and the 14" Meade SCT in the observatory will also be operational.

£3 entry  (free entry to volunteers with scopes)

Start time 19:30

Postcode: BH19 2JL

Full details HERE

I can't make tonight, but thought I'd share this in case anyone else is interested.  Expect it to be busy with members of the public, but generally gets quiet after 22:00.

Note that the road between Swanage and Corfe Castle may be closed after 21:00 with a diversion via north Swanage, so check before you leave.

Hope the forecast is true.  I normally volunteer and really enjoy doing these, but have other commitments tonight.

Hope you enjoy it if you go over Dan.
