Subtle difference but I'd go for the second. Russ Croman describes this technique which works brilliantly for this sort of thing. Make your Ha RGB. Go to channels and highlight just the G and B. Make sure the background colour in the tools palette is set to black. Select the image - ctrl-A and press delete. Now make sure all the channels are highlighted and paste the image onto the LRGB image. Now use lighten as the blend mode, this is the key to avoiding the pink tinge. You can adjust using levels curves or whatever but the effect should be just to add red to the ha areas. The technique doesn't work so well on big Ha nebs though.
