Hey all,
I'm considering the 250PDS. The main use is visual, and the second is EAA (I currently use a zwo183mm).
What I'm hesitant about is the primary focus. since It's mostly for visual, I'm wondering on how much back focus it has compared to the standard Skywatcher 10" dobsonians? with the standard dobsonias with the same optics and focuser you already need an extension tube for most eyepieces...
Also, there's probably a "bigger" obstruction (bigger shadow on primary)?

Good day fellow gazers at the sky! I recently joined and i would just like to say how wonderful everyone is (a special shout out to George Gearless)!
Can anyone suggest a good reflector within my budget shown in the title? While i'm here i'd just like to say about the app, Nightshift. It is proffesional, clear and tellls you when to observe, and what you can see, for the next year! It also pinpoints your location exactly, so it is really accurate.https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.waddensky.nightshift. Anyway, that's me done! Thank you all so much for your time

Good evening,
I've been looking at purchasing my first telescope for most of 2020 after spending numerous full moons upon the Ridgeway in Oxfordshire.
With some significant lifestyle changes I'm finding myself finally able to fund my first purchase!
The problem I'm facing is transportation, mainly. I either ride a motorbike or bicycle out into the woodlands with my DSLR for sunset shots but want to appreciate that great luminous rock that much more (main focus moon viewing and eventually moon photography).
I've been eyeing up the Bresser Messier NT-130/1000 specifically, but wanted to get some sage advice first.
I have a reasonable system for transporting my tripod and camera securely, but is there anything to be conscious of with a new scope?
I've set myself a loose budget of £500~
Would anyone recommend I look at alternate starting scopes, or would the 130/1000 be ideal?
Thanks in advance,
Pigeon

While doing darks, i realized one of the darks was a bright white. i was rummaging behind my newtonian w/ my headlamp on. Looks like light can pass thru the gap around the mirror?! What is the best way to avoid that?!
Best, U.
