Converting a "Push to" to a "goto" cheaply :)

I have a Sky Watcher Skyliner 10" classic dob. I have been doing short exposure work with my ZWO asi120mc-s. I would love to have tracking but its not cheap.

EQ platform is probably cheapest option. You can DIY one, or purchase ready made. It should let you continue using short exposure (I guess you can have a bit longer exposures as well) for prolonged periods of time (up to one hour).

Have you thought about an EQ platform? With careful setup you should get decent tracking, not so expensive and you can even build them yourself quite cheaply.

Hi there,

I would support what these guys have said, get an equatorial platform - its not goto, more stay-at.  Better still, make one.  Its a lot less complicated than it seems and you can do it for under £80. It is within the range of anyone who can do DIY.
