A frustrating start to an evenings imaging...

Got home from work (late)...

Setup the 8" in the obs...

Mounted up the Megrez 72 as it had been off for a cleaning...

I wondered why the current draw froim the psu was so low...broken solder joint int dew heater connection for the 8" so a nicely dewed up FCP. Fixed that and refitted the tape ..

GLP pointer batts were low...

Red dot will have to be remounted as it wont adjust to co-align with the scopes..

FCP cleared... co-aligned the 8" and the 72

Focused up

Trained the guiding...

And eventually started imaging...

Then came in for the first hot meal of the day and a cup of coffee...

Back to the obs... for a chilly night theres already ice on the obs...

It's another Psycho Billys Nebula Frenzy Night

Well hopefully I have got 10 hours....and still in toursit mode with the Meg72 F III and want top repeat the widefield targets that I took with the SW Equinox-66 FF III for comparison...

Each target should take about 80 mins so its going to be tight but hopefully achievable...

Mine is Veil 20 x 300sec subs......Done

Dumbell 15 x 300sec subs....... nearly done

Crab if it climbs out of the haze and cos I'm not in work until 8am tomorrow might stay up and grab my first M42 of the season....weather permitting.

Ive a funny feeling its all going to go wrong now the cloud gods know my plans.

its beautifully clear here anyways, sky very dark, cant often say that in cov.

Im still fighting guiding issues at F10, but if they come off tonight, the results should be worth it

Think I might replace IC1805 with NGC281 hmmmmm....

The messing about with the dew bands after completeing the alignment has upset the mount a tad so I have some slight field rotation in the images ... ho hum

NGC405 Completed - but some muppet forgot to enable guiding...so 300s unguided subs...
