udu
I saw a blink in the sky the other day. Was hoping it might have been an xploding star , allthough I've heard that's not possible. It was just a blink, like a welders arc, only milliseconds. Felt like my eyes hurt a bit, but maybe psychilogical...? My position is approx 63.41N 10.15E. Time october5, 20.50, gmt-1 The direction of the blink was approx W-NW, ca25degrees. Anyone got ideas what I saw? Or where on the internet does these things get reported? (and yes, I have seen lots of satellites, meteor swarms, and even quite large meteors burning up in the sky, didn't resemble...)
johnfosteruk
Satellite probably. Take a look at heavens above or calsky.
Kn4fty
I've seen meteors do that during showers. No tails since they were apparently headed straight towards me, just a flash in the sky. Not very bright, but noticable. Could also be a fast Iridium flares. Just some thoughts Rob
