Mars still not yeilding much detail

Mars has been a disappointment this year from the UK, with the dust storm and low altitude. A little more detail visible, but still pretty poor.

Captured with my C9.25 and Asi224mc OSC camera. I have kept the processing to a minimum to try and retain as natural a look as possible.

It's quite good, really. I love the detail it shows and it definitely looks natural!

This endless storm is a great pity. Opportunity has been silent for months now. That's not good. We may never hear from it again.

That looks like a perfectly scaled up view of the view from my 130p, I’d say it pretty much perfectly sums up how good it’s been lately. I’ve been a bit underwhelmed to be honest. That’s the best shot I’ve seen anywhere in the last few weeks pal.

There's still more detail than I got a few nights back. I just hope it's all settled down by Oct 2020.

It should be a much better view in 2020,  43° altitude and still disk will measure 22.3 arcsec in diameter, hopefully no dust storm.

Agreed. I'll trade a couple of seconds loss in diameter for a 30° gain in altitude anyday.

I prefer a more natural look to some of the over processed images we see. I think this one is really good.
