Well I set her up and prayed that the clouds wouldn’t roll in and my prayers were answered I patiently waited for darkness and thought I’d take a look at mars as  it was

reasonably placed and I must say it was well worth a look although mars is low down and not at its best I tried a few eyepices setling on the Delos 17.5 which gave a nice crisp image

the polar cap was visible as was some surface detail and it was better than my previous viewing with the 130 Triplet the sky was velvety black and stars were pin sharp then on to the moon WoW so bright and no false colour at all fantastic detail and natural colour had to come down to the 28mm Panoptic to save  going blind I’m looking forward to spending many dark winter nights with this scope it’s as good as I remember all those years ago when I last viewed through one of theese great scopes  pictures of moon taken at Eyepice with Iphone no processing .
