Newbie or not newbie

Hi everyone, 

Have just returned to SGL after a few years away thru my wife's ill health. She is a lot better now so I can resume my love of Astronomy.

I Did manage to get the scope out the other night to view the 2 day old moon along with Mars, Saturn and Jupiter before it sunk below the horizon. I view from my rear garden which is fairly dark and minimum light intrusion.

After reading some of the posts its good to be back.
