Actually no, with lake erie to my north early to mid fall to late March 1 out 5 days might be clear. Nights about 1 out of 7. The winter time lake erie cloud machine and light pollution is really bad here.

Loved Ohio when i visited there back in Sept 2000, stayed in Vermillion and visited Cuyahoga National Park too......

I wasnt into astronomy back then but do remember how clear the skies were in Vermillion, sorry to hear that clear nights are few and far between though......Think we are all in the same boat there........
