Stargazing on Vamizi Island Part Two

Part two of my observing report from Vamizi Island can be found on the link below.  Featuring both the midnight and early morning sessions and a meeting with two large owls that fancied me as a late night snack.  When the sky is this good in a single 30 second exposure (foreground briefly illuminated with a torch), the stargazing is rather good!

WOW !

I have now read the other report and followed umptitudes of links.

I have come to the conclusion that you will need me on your next expedition. ;)

Great stuff. :)

Thanks. I can try and fit you in the suitcase on my next trip south to dark skies. Perhaps I can wrap you round my tripod for extra protection!?

WOW again, must make star hopping a hard job with all those stars.

In a word, yes. I have lost my bearings more than once, when so many stars are visible.
