Star Trails over the MCBO

Recommended Posts

I was up at the Marlborough College Blackett Observatory last night and ran a DSLR outside to make a star trails image. 44 x 3 min exposures with a Canon 1Dx and 15mm lens at f4, 400 ISO. That's the glow of Marlborough town centre to the right! Had a fun session with the large old refractor in the observatory, imaging (or at least trying to image) Mars, observing M2, M15 and the Saturn Nebula, followed by a look at Brocchi's Cluster, the Coathanger, through binoculars outside. All in all it was a good session.
