Hello Martin,

Thanks for that. I have shrunk the stars a bit but not by the usual method using the minimum filter.

What I do is apply curves to the overall image and stretch it a bit, then individualy select each star and apply roughly the reverse of the curve to it, or put a point on the curve that corresponds to the halo that you get when stretching, then pull it down. A bit time consuming but it works quite effectively.

It might be time consuming but te results speak for themselves...

I'm still a 10 minute processor at the momemnt and I think it shows... apart form the "HDR's"which take longer becasue of all the layers that need tweaking... perhaps once I start gettiing better data i'll start to learn how to process it better as well like you guys... I'll have to revisit MartinB's excellent Primers...
