Quite amazing. The level of detail in all the images is wonderful.

I rather like the colour and mono images side by side as it lends a different perspective on the planets. Mars especially.

That Venus is a beauty. Lovely cloud detail.

Dave.

Very honoured to see my "little old Venus" image in such illustrious company, Avani images are magnificent!

Congratulations to everyone that entered, such a high standard again!

Your image has inspired me to get a UV-pass filter - and an IR pass one, I've just done my first couple of thousand frames on Jupiter with the IR, until it (Jupiter) got eaten by the Evil Tree!

I want to leave here my thanks for the honor of having my chosen images in such a prestigious group.
I loved Pete's Venus, it looks incredible but I still have not tried anything with Venus, maybe because I did not have the filters dedicated to this planet.
Congratulations Pete and everyone who posted great pictures!
Best regards!

I thought about getting one for quite a while, I did use a No47 Violet filter (I think) for a while. Its an expensive filter, but I have used a lot , probably more than a few others I own.

Congratulations Avani and Pete, worthy winners indeed.

@Pete Presland yours was probably chosen as you actually captured some detail on Venus which not many of us have done, not within the planetary comp anyway.

Yes for sure, Venus is not imaged to much in UV.

I guess because the filter is quite expensive and probably only going to be used on one target it doesn't seem like good value. Especially when that target is generally quite low down on the horizon, even despite its brightness is tough to image, even tougher to capture any details, other than the phase.
