Thank you!  QHY268M for lum and NB, and a ZWO2600MC for colour.  I also just purchased a labelling machine, so you can see that practically everything got labelled 😂

When I've seen LZOS scopes tested independantly (eg: by Herr Rohr) they usually do a touch better than the supplied tests. I think the latter are mainly to demonstrate that the objective has passed the quality control levels stipulated by APM.

The accuracy of the test bench is such that it could really be 0.98 Strehl, but as noted the atmosphere needs to cooperate to make use of it…

This is what Ive seen also and I think testing in green is a tougher measure than testing in red IMHO.

Yup that is physics. 1/10th of a wavelength of green light PtV is smaller than 1/10th of a wavelength PtV of red light (55nm vs 65nm).

Testing in red is a cheap trick to make optics look a bit better than they are imo (unless you're building a specialist infra-red scope 🤷‍♂️)

All those zygo test certificates I've seen online from companies like TS Optics, WO, Altair, etc. never indicate the wavelength that was chosen for the test. So I thought there was an industrial standard wavelength which everyone sticks to. Looks like this is not the case then.

Whats real interesting is seeing interferometer reports in blue, green and red...for the same scope

True. Poly-strehl is far more useful than just the figure from the red.

But I'm fine with 532nm green. I suppose not even the premium brands want to show their 450nm blue test results when everyone else are doing the test in red.

That's a fantastic looking scope although looks like it must weigh a ton!

What design is it using to have 4 elements? Is it a flatfield Petzval or something else?

Hi it is a bit of a beast it’s Optics are  By Astreya  it’s a Doublet Doublet in one cell done by Andre Strakhov and very high Strehl totally colour free

These are really great scopes :thumbright:

According to Markus Ludes at APM, demand and sales of the 130mm F/6 LZOS are around 4x-5x higher than for the F/9.2. That's unsurprising really given that the F/6 is so much more suitable for imaging as well as more of an "all rounder" for observing.

As of this time last year, Markus said that the total production of F/9.2's would be likely to top out at around 130 units. The highest serial number that I've seen for sale to date is #123.
