Narrowband

Bit of dark and chill.

Time for a light down jacket, but a lovely sky darkened. So many targets there ending with Cassiopeia overhead and Pleiades high in the north east.Very surprised by the sky   As in the afternoon low light clouds were crossing each other in opposite directions.

Planets. A useful Saturn taking x200 to give Cassini all around with a darker area to its outside. Pole dark ( not Poldark), with an equatorial band. Mars just bubbled like it had been deep fried.Later Neptune swept in nice and high showing a lovely blue disc.

Comet 21p Giacobini -Zinner ( going to name the car that ) gave a lovely core and mass to one side , must be signs of the tail. I find this amount of visual action amazing from an object 2km across.

Some cracking clusters, go for NGC 7686 in Andromeda. Always had a spot for Caroline Herschel's catalogued NGC 752. Don't overlook M39.

Some superbly difficult binaries down to 1.3". Very lucky to get a really good view of Psi (ψ) Cassiopeiae, one of those with a paired and difficult companion. Got to look up all the AU separations to imagine what a sky there would look like. Very pleased to get π Arietis, it's a ticklish little triple, the close ones easy , but look at the field star to tease out the faint companion. Super multiple group at Σ 3037 and a triple at Σ 3060.

Lovely hours , great just to eyeball the constellations catching Triangulm and Aries, under
