DSLR Astrophotography

Hi all. 

I am trying to take pictures through my telescope with my Nikon D5300 DSLR but im having a couple of problems. I am using a T Ring adapter but everytime i try to take pictures, i have just a black image. 

Any help would be appreciated.

Could be several things. Too short exposure time, low iso. What objects are you trying to photograph ? Planets, Moon, DSO ?

Trying to get anything really. Primarily planets and DSO. Ive managed to get the moon, but i suppose its brightness helps with that really.

Give an example or two of a non-Moon target you went for, with the exposure and other camera settings you used.

Use your scope in the daytime with your camera to make sure that you can achieve focus OK. If you are that far out of focus then that could also not help getting anything.

Was just going to say, type of telescope would be useful as well as you may need a barlow. If he's able to get the moon though, that may not be the case and it may just be a matter of increasing the exposure settings and shutter speed.
