Mars over South Germany, bad seeing conditions (2018-07-28)

Here is my Mars from the night of the opposition:

 

Also took my chances on using the 5x Premium Barlow:

The night of the blood moon and opposition was wonderful. I also had high hopes and wondered if I finally would be able to shoot better images of Mars, maybe revealing some details of the surface.

Unfortunately some clouds came up, they covered Mars for more than 90 minutes. I had to use some gaps in the clouds but still managed to shoot 15 stacks with at least 10 000 frames each. The seeing conditions were bad, so Mars continues to hide all the details from me. 

I promise you, little red friend, that one day you will reveal sharp surface details to me!
