Lunar Eclipse from Ferring Beach - great views!

Despite all the doom and gloom about the weather, Steppenwolfess and I headed off to Ferring beach to enjoy the Lunar eclipse and came away with some great shots. This one pretty much sums up our experience. We also spoke to several non-astronomers and have at least two converts!!

I'm surprised you didn't get more converts after such a wonderfull once in a lifetime event! ??

There's so much going on in this image, I felt that some explanation of the dynamic was required....

You missed a great event - as the sky darkened, the red lights on the turbines became brighter ......

As for the converts, it was a good job I had some nice deep sky images on my iPhone!
