IC1805 - Something from next to nothing

Hi Everyone,

Imaging windows seem few and far between but I thought I would have a go nonetheless at a first attempt at the Heart.

This is 12x600s of Ha and just 3x600s of OIII before the clouds stopped play - again!

Far from perfect seeing conditions but at least you can tell what it is.

Using the Atik428ex with a Samyang 135mm lens set at f2.2 on top of the newly belt-drive upgraded NEQ6.

Pointers on how it might be improved - other than loads more Ha and OIII - gratefully received.

Thanks for looking.

Looking good Adrian, Its not over stretched and looks Natural looking,

Around Essex last night there was some very high thin cloud knocking

about that might have Took the edge off those valuable photons,

don't know if it was similar over your way.

don't think you can improve it much more unless you stretch the data a bit more

the only other option as you say is to catch more subs,

Looks good to me though.

Hi Paul,

Thank you for your comments. I think I stretched it as far as I dare, especially the OIII. The whole thing was processed in PI.

The high veil of very thin cloud was here too; unfortunately at 2.00 a.m. a total blanket moved in and that was that!

Hopefully over the coming nights I might get some more OIII and even see if I can add on the Soul as well!
