mwayne
29 June 2018, 1028UT. North on top. Surprised to see any detail showing through the dust storm. And still working on settings for capture, the histogram showed a much higher level for blue than the two other colors. Is this normal for Mars? Thanks. Ags
All those clouds on Mars... Have they been taking any deliveries from FLO?

cuivenion
Nice image. Mars colour balance can be tricky. I run my capture video through PIPP with the settings for planetary, but I also tick Equalise R, G and B Channels Individually and Stretch Histogram White Point Too (65%), under the Histogram Equalisation section: https://sites.google.com/site/astropipp/pipp-manual/processing-options That makes the auto colour balance in Registax work much better. Depending on the brightness of your capture you might need to choose a different percentage for Strech Histogram White Point.
Stub Mandrel
LOL! I'm here staring at my own virtually featureless orange disc.
