Can some one point me to the right place get co-ordinates for this please would not mind having a look at that.

Your best bet would probably be to check it out on Stellarium/CdC - that way you would see its position in relation to the nearby stars. It only looks like a star with no disc.

You can search for it in SkySafari too. I’ve found the location to be accurate enough  to find it. Location for tonight around 23:30:

Found it easily a couple of times recently, just right of Saturn and up a bit.

Co-ords from Stellarium are spot on.

The moon is a good signpost  !  I can just see Vesta  in 10x50s in the bright moon glow in the position as the sky safari  chart.  A touch fainter than 58 Oph.

Thanks Andrew. That inspired me to pop out with bins and see it  Quite a bit of cloud dodging required so the bins where ideal.

Ditto, thanks all. Just popped the dustbin out and had a quick look with the 8x42s. Not so easy with the moon so close and bright, but still spotted it. Nice one.

Decimal coordinates are listed to ease interpolation, since few observations are likely to be made at precisely 00:00:00 UT.

I wonder if that is what a nearby supernova would look like ...
