Using the 5" again tonight and all set and ready. Ganymede is beautifully poised on the limb.

It’s still quite easy to easy to see even now it’s in front of the planet. There’s quite a noticeable colour diff between the NEB and SEB. Never really noticed it before

Looking at where it is Neil, I suspect it will stay visible all the way across as it is against the darker polar region.

Thanks for the heads up. I managed to track it for about 25 minutes with the 100ED and AZ Gti but then I had to step away for a few minutes and then couldn't locate it again when I returned.

Got an early start tomorrow so have done the responsible thing and have packed up now.
