Berlebach tripods & adapter plates

While mulling over Berlebach tripods, as much to see what wood would compliment my furniture best, I noticed on Teleskop Express site that different adapter plates can be bought for different mounts.

So presumably a Uni 28 for example, could have its plate changed from EQ5 to EQ6, or for a Celestron, Astro Physics mount etc.

I did not know about the plates  being owner buyable & interchangeable before. It makes the tripods a better consideration.

Hmm, Nutwood Brown or Camouflage I think :)

Yes. In most instances the Berlebach mounting plates can be sourced separately and fitted to an existing Berlebach tripod.

I guess a new hub would be required ?

I confess I don’t know. We have only had a handful of requests for platforms. Someone owning a Berlebach tripod usually emails requesting P&A then orders one. We then dispatch it when it arrives, unopened. Perhaps we should list the platforms. Will contact Berlebach for more info when we reopen tomorrow.

Thanks for bringing it up 25585.

I just received one tripod today. If nothing works in improving my AZ-EQ5 to a level that I'm satisfied with, I will need to upgrade to a new mount. I will be then also interested in changing the platform only.

Is your furniture camouflaged then, 25885?  ?
