Now, I'm looking at how I can actually connect it up to my camera (Canon 700d or my ASI 290mm) and realise that i would need a t-ring adapter but looking at TV website it states that i have to unscrew the eye piece holder. My powermate will only unscrew at the stainless-steel base, the black aluminium holder above is one complete unit. Are there two different types of powermates out there, one solely for visual and another for both visual and imaging?

The first photo is my one, the second is what I've seen on the TV website.

Well, I tried to get the Canon camera working with the Powermate last night, but was not able to achieve focus. If anyone here uses the older style powermate with a dslr, would you be able to post maybe a photo of the setup or indicate the distance i need to be at the get it to focus?
