Jupiter and the Galilean moons

My first attempt at planetary imaging was trickier than I expected. Getting good focus in poor seeing and poor transparency was challenging to say the least. Capture wasn't ideal either, with the wrong choice of equipment - I was capturing the live view from my DSLR as a series of jpegs which is never going to give the best image. All part of the learning curve though...

Not bad for a first attempt. And you are clearly aware of what you need to do differently to improve. You will find it much easier with the QHY camera! But none of the planets are ideally placed from UK latitudes at the moment.
