Hi Simon,

Something else to consider, I wasn't aware of them. :happy11:

That’s the fitting that @Stu demonstrated in his photos. I’m not sure whether the Denks have a suitable fitting under the nosepiece. But if not, it might be possible to adapt them. I’m awaiting the Memsahib’s WO back from having the same done to them...

That is neat Simon, who did you get that done by? I’m sure it would be a very handy mod for others to adopt.

The OCS can sit very handily in the bayonet fitting too so it is a good system and very flexible.

@Stu It's something Denis agreed to do for me. I've been in contact with him for a while and been discussing a few things given common experiences and interests...

As many will be aware, Denis has "withdrawn stumps" from his Binoviewer activities because of his wife's illness. But Susie and I were able to use some of our contacts and experiences to try to help them given similar situations previously. He agreed to do it for her as a "thank you"...

I'm sure other machine shops could do similar very easily. After kicking the idea around with Denis I had been in discussions with a couple locally. But Denis said as a "last project" he'd be prepared to adapt Susie's for her...

My apologies to all who offered their assistance, in failing to respond with an outcome. I hasten to add that the solution, as shown to me, did not take all this time to implement , and I have been enjoying binoviewing at native focus since last summer. The ultra slim adapter was all that was needed to attach the Denks, so my thanks to all...

What would possess anyone with a modicum of good taste to put red rings on a beautiful, elegant, white, blue and silver Tak tube assembly? It would be like putting Micra wheels on a Porche.

Ah well - whilst I am removing the Micra wheels from my Porsche I had better remove the tow bar off my Bentley !!  😉

Your scopes are already well cluttered with cables and whatnot plus the Tak already has some red on it. The scope I was referring to should look like the pic below IMHO but the owner that my comment above was directed at (no longer an SGL member) decided to build a cage for it from 4 Primaluce tubr rings and a couple of their Losmandy DT bars, just in case it tried to escape :rolleyes2:

Still, each to their own.
