Borg & Borg versus me!

I`ve been very lucky in having inherited TWO Borg scopes, hence the first part of the title, but, not is all that it seems.

I went out tonight in hope of viewing Jupiter and the half moon, First up was the 100ED, couldn`t get it to focus! so I swapped the eyepiece to see if that was the problem, no..., so swapped the diagonal, still no.    Looking at the 76ED, I wondred if it was the helical focuser, as they looked quite different, okay then I`ll swap them over.

In the 76ED there is a extra tube, I believe to be the field flattener, so I removed it, then I placed the focuser from that scope into the 100ED, now we`re getting somewhere.

I took It all outside and finally a result, I could get focus , but only just, if I wind in the HF half amore turns then It hits the stop, Hmmm, does anyone have a spare manual (PDF) that I could use/borrow/pawn?

All this messing about was soley on guessing as I have no instructions, Borg does have a lot of parts to get It right.

Thing is, I also had set up was my OTA ETX90, with a Orion Expanse 20mm, blew the socks off the Borg !!!
