IMG_3063_DxO.thumb.jpg.831ad4449ad69cf730370a7bfcaeadbe.jpgThis is one of the first images I have taken with a camera attached to a telescope.  I love the soft contrast of a daytime moon - the detail is often still there but just so gentle.  This is a single shot exposure taken at 1729 BST this afternoon using an unmodded Canon 500D and a SkyWatcher Explorer 150P.  RAW file processed in DXO Photolabs - no subsequent work.

OK it's not going to win - there's some sublime efforts here but for a first attempt I am pretty pleased :)

It comes out nice against this blue backdrop. Much more 'silvery' white than against black!
