May 20, 2018: Whitsunday sun (very quiet)

Recommended Posts

Back from Montreal (conference visit), and I was treated to the best jetlag cure: sunshine. Got the scope out and shot some WL and Ca-K. Clouds and haze then came in, so H-alpha wasn't on the cards. A pity because the part inverted Ca-K shots show some prom activity which would be better captured in H-alpha.

Very quiet in white light! The day before I spotted a nice patch of faculae but that has clearly moved.

The CaK still looks great, I always love your pseudo colour images.
