Here is my first attempt at sketching Jupiter under red light at the eyepiece.

Well done Dave, I have dabbled with sketching in the past it's a great way to examine objects in greater detail, the more you observe the more you see.

Thanks for the responses guys. I plan to keep sketching yes. I did manage to see one wisp last night before Jupiter orbit took the wisp out of view. Which I hope I captured in the sketch.

Cool Sketch... your eye sight must be way better than mine... I need atleast 200X to see that much detail.

Thanks for the compliment Mars, I don't actually think my eyesight is that great. 

My sketching is a bit similar to the way Vincent Van Gogh used to paint. I do short pencil strokes. It's something my art teacher remarked on at school. I hope people aren't seeing those strokes and thinking it's detail

Under excellent seeing and with Jupiter higher in the sky you should be able to pick out some lovely detail in your 4”.
