Reggie, I'm pleased with how the scope performs.  When I bought it I was really looking for the 180 Mak, but soon realised that I wouldn't cope with the weight, so I went with the Nexstar 8SE.  The OTA is mounted on my basic EQ5 with dual axis motor drives.

Hi Angie,

Well done, that is an excellent result from the UK this year. I think a C8 is less affected by the seeing conditions than C11 or C14 so that helped you as well.

I would agree with you on that. I sold my C11 & got a CPC800 HD. Living in a town is the problem.

 My C11 seemed to suffer with tube eddies. 2 very good pictures of Jupiter there Angie.
