Pete Presland

Ganymede+shadow transit animation, from the 6th May

Recommended Posts

The usual UK seeing, better than lately though. A bit noisy and not a huge amount of detail, gets me out of the house though :icon_biggrin:

The usual set up, C9.25, Asi290mm, X1.8 Barlow & Baader UV filter! Around 15,000 frames captured again.

Stacked in A/S2, sharpened in CS2.

Excellent work Pete. Love the 3D effect of the moon and shadow as it crosses the face of Jupiter. Might try to see if I can do something similar at some point. Cheers! :)

Extremely impressive, and not a little hypnotic to watch.  Thanks for sharing this.
