Just had a late afternoon peak in white light. The main AR showing nicely and I can detect the other one although no spots, just light areas (plage?)

The granulation is mesmerising when the seeing settles for any time.

A rare experience this afternoon - seeing improved later on around 4-5pm - some superb views of rapidly changing prom group - very unusual to get such excellent conditions at the end of a hot day.

It did get a little better here later on, but has dropped off again now. Annoyingly I could not find my extension tubes to get extra mag, I think the seeing at its best would have given some good high power views.
