Jupiter from Northern Ireland

Not much to look at compared to the amazing shots people are taking, but with reasonable seeing and an atmospheric refraction corrector I managed to get a little detail from 55 degrees North. Beginning to get the hang of the data acquisition bit - sort of.

900 frames

AutoStakkert 2 to stack

Registax for wavelets

Pretty good for the conditions and altitude.

Thanks for that. Love your pictures, by the way. The C14 gets some beautiful detail. I'm curious how it would perform with Jupiter as low as it is now - does the atmosphere really affect larger optics worse than smaller ones? I'm guessing that with lucky imaging and stacking, size always wins?
