Lunar X and V

Recommended Posts

Lunar X and V are nicely placed now 19.35 -  both well shown bathed in sunlight.

Thanks for the reminder, just got in from taking a look, both the Lunar X and the V were clearly visible.

Thanks indeed Andrew. This had slipped my mind but your reminder prompted me to put a scope out. I couldn’t access my normal kit, it was packed away somewhere so I put the TAL Alkor light thimble out for a look. Even at x33 both X and V were clear, upping the mag showed just what a little gem this scope is!

Thanks @Andrew63.   I have never seen these before.   Really good display tonight.  Especially the 'V' as it is swathed in uite a large area of relative darkness.

Really nice. 5th consecutive night observing and imaging the moon.

Thanks for the heads-up Andrew. Never seen the X & V before so I set up the scope in double quick time -  amazing sight.

Must have seemed a little bit spooky to the first person that noted it.
