Skywatcher EQM35-Pro Mount 3 Star Alignment Help

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I have just purchased the New Skywatcher EQM35-Pro Mount as a upgrade to my Star Adventurer, i will be using my William Optics ZS61 scope with it.

Can anyone give me some help on what to do when i go to do a 3 star alignment using just my Canon DSLR as i have no eye pieces for my scope, i also have BYEOS.

Thanks

You are the first to use that mount. Not even FLO has presented it in the "Sponsor Announcement and Offers section". Please write a review!!! with many picture.

If you have a computer, plate solving no 3 star alignment necessary.

Otherwise it's going to be using a finder scope and fine tuning once the alignment star is in the fov of the camera/scope.

I dont have the same mount as you...but when I've been lazy I've used my dslr screen as my eyepiece so to speak. After nailing polar alignment I often select capella or a relatively bright star and get that centred in the live view on my canon 200D

Is this mount not an EQ3-2 Pro with detachable Dec?

The mount has been fully revised. New worm wheels and drives on the RA and the DEC give improved tracking accuracy compared to the old EQ3 and the payload capacities are now similar to the EQ5.
