Hi, and thanks. I picked up a used Skywatcher Skyliner 200P Dobsonian. From what I could tell a good scope for a beginner, and a good bang for your bucks.

Absolute amazing choice for a beginner, Dob's of that size are the quintessential beginners scope and should carry you for years! and regarding aperture for dollar value you can't beat a Dob, you hit the nail on the head with that choice.

Hello and welcome to the community, a very good choice of scope, when you get 

good weather  your first target should be the Moon, that was mine it will blow your

socks off.   Enjoy.
