We are experimenting with a new feature of the forums called 'Clubs' - to begin with, the WADAS group will be using this and we will see how it goes before rolling it out as an option for other clubs and social groups who would like their own mini area on SGL.

Clubs will be open to all to see and join so nothing will be closed off / private but the idea is to provide a specific area for certain groups rather than having to setup their own forums, use a Facebook or Yahoo type group.

A club allows for separate discussion areas, galleries, event calendars and blog areas.

This is new to us so lets see how it goes before we start rolling it out to other groups but if you are interested in running a 'club' on SGL then please let us know.

Cheers,

Grant

Nice one Grant.

This should be great for the WADAS group and quite a few others :)

Great feature Grant, let’s hope it takes off. Should be great for WADAS, they are a very active group and it would be nice for that to be a little more visible.

Is there enough demand to have one for Somerset?

There are a few astronomy clubs in Somerset, so I don't see why not.
