I have been to that lodge four times since 2011 and actually worked as the resident astronomer in 2014.  It really is incredible.

Just love seeing the LMC in images. Must have been mind blowing not just to see a different part of the night sky but to be in one of the most light pollution-free areas on earth.

I really hope so.  TBC with my wife but given I proposed under those stars with a scope pointed at Saturn in 2016, we will always have a connection to Sossusvlei so it should only be a matter of time before we go there again.

Went to South Africa a couple of times to visit family, and the southern skies are just fabulous, even closer to built-up areas. Would love to go to Namibia too one day
