The two day old Moon will be 19 degrees above the horizon when the sun sets at 6.11pm. Venus will be shining brightly just over 10 degrees away, with Mercury close by

Uranus will be 5 degrees from the Moon too but too faint to see

This is looking particularly beautiful from home tonight, saw it whilst driving home and the skies are looking very clear. Quite breezy and chilly though! Well worth a look even just with binos.

Really good observing these objects tonight. Sky totally clear so set up the Heritage 130P with TeleVue 8-24 zoom + Baader Classic 2.25X. Venus almost full - Mercury about 25% - Moon nice craters along the terminator.
