Geodesic domes - might have possiblities for someone

In fact a search for 'garden dome' brings back all sorts of interesting products

I've looked into these in the past, the main problem is engineering a suitable opening and closing facility. I once modified a silo dome and that had similar difficulties. Never again!

No need for such complexity - a simple "octagonal" dome with the minimum panels as Ron Johnson's as below with permission  http://home.freeuk.com/m.gavin/rondome.htm

They still look interesting.  If they could be mounted onto a floor that turned, perhaps on some sort of 'wheeled castor' or child's playground roundabout type system, they would only need an opening down one side to be functional - perhaps by making little Perspex triangle windows that push in and out of the openings.

Yes, I meant doubly interesting, obsy and planty Or even threeways interesting - as a foldback cover ?
